: Dog Dental, Schaumburg IL : Our “son” Camo is a pitbull/boxer mix (80/20). He loves to chew on everything especially little plush toys that squeak at him. One day he chewed so hard that he pulled out one of his lower teeth. Luckily the doctor at Elk Grove Pet Clinic was able to reassure us (my husband was a mess because he had been playing tug of war with him and felt guilty). They were able to do dental surgery to remove the pieces of tooth still left in his mouth and they gave him pain medicine so he wouldn’t be uncomfortable. It was a very scary time for us because we had never had any medical emergencies with Camo. Luckily the folks at EGPC were extremely knowledgeable and told us that this happens quite often. They gave us lots of literature explaining correct methods of caring for Camo after his dental surgery. It seems every time we go there, we leave with information that will help us with any issues that may arise with a dog. In addition, their prices are extremely reasonable. Also, the ladies at the front desk often have their pets with them and it’s nice to see that it’s not just a job for them. They are gentle and loving with every animal they come across. It is reassuring to us because our dog is very much like a human child (half boy half dog) who doesn’t like being left anywhere without his mom and dad. I’m happy to say that when he goes to the vet, he can instantly sense that the staff there are kind to animals and always provide tender loving care.
