Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist (FLOAT)
Elk Grove Pet Clinic is a progressive 26-year-old small animal general practice in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago who is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic part-time experienced veterinary assistant to join our wonderful team. 2 years+ veterinary assistant experience and 1 year+ receptionist experience required. This is a float position where you will be helping out the receptionists as needed. We are looking for a welcoming, confident, bright, hardworking, self-motivated, and dedicated team player. We need a reliable individual who is able to prioritize and multi-task with little direction. Our assistants are an invaluable part of our team and utilized to the fullest. This is a fantastic environment for learning and growing professionally.
We have a team led by Dr. Gregory S. Stram and his associate veterinarian, followed by a Certified Veterinary Technician, 2 veterinary technicians, 2 veterinary assistants, 5 receptionists, 4 kennel assistants, and some seasonal staff. We have a reputation for excellent patient care with dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled support staff.
Modern computerized facility includes: DR Digital Radiography with Idexx, Companion Therapy Class IV Laser, ultrasound, surgical suit, electrocautery, two dentistry tables & iM3 PRO2000 LED high speed dental unit, full in-house lab with IDEXX VetLab (ProCyte Dx hematology analyzer, Cataylst Dx chemistry analyzer, SNAPshot Dx, & Sediview Dx), two CONTEC Veterinary Monitors (can monitor such parameters as mainstream capnography, ECG & esophageal stethoscope for ECG, RESP, NIBP, SpO2 and dual- channel TEMP), scil V5 Vet View Monitor (can monitor such parameters as Oridion Microstream Capnography, ECG & esphageal stethoscope for ECG, RESP, NIBP, SpO2 and dual- channel TEMP, esophageal stethoscope ), two scil V1 Vet View vitals monitors, manual Doppler BP, Tonopen, STYKER T/PUMP Water Blanket Unit with (3) different size blankets, (2) Bair Huggers, and IV fluid pumps.
